Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for bioinformatics pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that align with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions to meet business requirements
- Create and optimize data models and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and performance
- Develop interactive dashboards and automated reports to provide actionable insights for stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a proven track record of scalable solution implementation
- Deep knowledge of at least two programming languages (Python, Perl, R, etc.) and proficiency in various database technologies
- Experience in Agile frameworks and CI/CD practices using Git
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions
