Senior Business Applications Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Business Applications Engineer working remotely, the candidate will serve as the technical expert on the Business Applications team, focusing on transforming business pain points into effective solutions by leading discovery, designing integrations, and supporting various applications including Jira and Workato.

Key responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder discovery to define problems and success metrics, translating pain points into scoped problem statements
• Design and own end-to-end solutions, including building and maintaining integrations on an iPaaS platform and custom automation tooling
• Serve as the technical escalation point for IT and AI Admins, mentoring them and ensuring adherence to best practices in security and data privacy

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in IT, business systems engineering, integration, or automation engineering
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence or similar ITSM platforms
• Experience building and maintaining integrations on an iPaaS platform, preferably Workato
• Understanding of RBAC, least-privilege access, and data privacy as they apply to integrations and automations
