Senior CAD Designer
Job Summary
To support the development of advanced aerospace ground systems, the contract Senior CAD Designer will work remotely on designing and documenting mechanical systems, test equipment, and tooling while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and configuration management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using Creo, adhering to ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
- Design test fixtures and support equipment, defining interfaces and creating necessary documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate design improvements and support technical reviews
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency with Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) and experience in managing complex parts and assemblies
- Solid understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards
- Experience with engineering change management and configuration-controlled environments
- Ability to interpret engineering requirements and produce production-ready documentation
