Senior CAD Designer

Job Summary

Collaborating with Mechanical Engineering teams, the full-time Senior Staff CAD Designer will design ruggedized hardware for new product initiatives, focusing on creating production-ready CAD models and intricate mechanical components in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering to iterate on concepts and resolve design challenges
• Build and maintain master skeleton models and complex packaging layouts for electromechanical subsystems
• Generate 2D engineering drawing packages compliant with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards

Required qualifications

• AS or BS in Mechanical Design Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting/Design, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent vocational training
• 7+ years of mechanical CAD design experience in relevant fields such as robotics or industrial automation
• Advanced proficiency in CATIA
• Deep knowledge of DFM/DFA for volume fabrication processes
• Experience using PLM systems to manage BOMs and ECO approvals
