Senior Casualty Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Managing a large inventory of claims, the full-time Senior Casualty Claims Specialist will evaluate compensability and liability, conduct investigations, and negotiate settlements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate compensability and liability for a large inventory of claims
• Plan and conduct claim investigations to confirm coverage and determine damages
• Negotiate appropriate claim settlements and authorize payments within prescribed authority

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Political Science, Pre-law, Paralegal, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3-6 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling
• Completion of or progress toward a professional designation, such as Associate in Claims (AIC), preferred
• Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
