Senior CGL Claims Consultant

Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of complex, high-severity Commercial General Liability (CGL) claims, the full-time Senior CGL Claims Consultant will handle litigated matters, conduct thorough investigations, and lead litigation strategy, all in a fully remote or hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage complex, high-exposure CGL claims across multiple jurisdictions
• Conduct investigations and coverage analysis to inform claim strategy and stakeholder communication
• Negotiate and resolve high-severity claims, partnering with defense counsel throughout the litigation process

Required qualifications

• 5-10+ years of casualty claims experience with an insurance carrier, focusing on high-severity and litigated CGL claims
• Proven ability to lead litigation strategy and negotiate settlements for claims with significant exposure ($250K-$1M+)
• Advanced knowledge of coverage interpretation and multi-jurisdictional legal frameworks
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; industry designations (CPCU, AIC, SCLA) or JD are a plus
• Active adjuster licenses or ability to obtain
