Senior Claims Examiner

Job Summary

Handling a caseload of complex claims, the full-time Senior Claims Examiner will manage moderate to high complexity claims, analyze policy language, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure timely resolutions in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of environmental, products liability, life sciences, toxic tort, professional liability, and general liability claims
• Analyze coverage issues and evaluate liability, damages, and exposure to maintain appropriate claim reserves
• Negotiate settlements and develop claim handling strategies to drive efficient outcomes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) or advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in complex casualty claims handling
• Strong knowledge of coverage analysis and interpretation of specialty insurance policies
• Experience managing litigated claims and working with outside counsel
• Professional designations such as CPCU, AIC, or equivalent are a plus
