Senior Claims Specialist, Construction Defect

Job Summary

Offering a full-time remote opportunity, the Senior Technical Claims Specialist, Construction Defect will manage complex commercial casualty claims, determining coverage, investigating liability, and negotiating settlements while serving as a subject matter expert and mentor within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Determine coverage and draft coverage position letters for complex claims
• Investigate claims, evaluate liability, and negotiate settlements while managing reserves
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to build resolution strategies for claims and litigation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years of claims adjusting experience
• Advanced knowledge of Construction Defect and Commercial General Liability claims
• Strong judgment on complex coverage and liability issues
• Proven ability to lead files and manage litigation strategy independently
• Experience mentoring and training other claims professionals
