Senior Cloud Data Architect
Job Summary
To support mission-critical digital modernization and analytics projects, the remote contract Senior Cloud Data Architect will collaborate with subject matter experts and client leaders to design and optimize high-performance cloud data architectures using Microsoft Azure services.
Key responsibilities
- Translate business concepts into conceptual, logical, and physical data models for complex analytical queries
- Design and deliver cloud data architectures utilizing Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Lake and Azure SQL
- Lead data migration initiatives, converting legacy data models to modern cloud-tabular structures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 8+ years of experience (or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling
- 4+ years of cloud data architecture experience, specifically with Microsoft Azure data platforms
- Strong knowledge of SQL optimization and experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- U.S. Citizenship with at least 3 years of continuous U.S. residency, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
