Senior Cloud Developer
Job Summary
To support the FEMA National Flood Insurance Program, the full-time Senior Cloud Application Developer will design, develop, and modernize secure cloud-native applications and services while providing technical leadership across enterprise cloud environments in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex cloud-native applications and microservices
- Implement microservices-based architectures and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure application integration and deployment
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering or cloud development
- Advanced experience with Java/Spring Boot and REST APIs
- Strong background in Docker and Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major public cloud services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
