Senior Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
To support a federal civilian customer undergoing data center consolidation and cloud modernization, the full-time Senior Cloud Engineer will design, deploy, and administer enterprise server and cloud infrastructure while leading the migration of on-premises workloads to AWS GovCloud in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and administer Windows Server and Linux systems for enterprise applications and services
- Lead the migration of legacy on-premises data center workloads to AWS GovCloud
- Administer VMware vSphere/vCenter environments, including capacity planning and lifecycle management
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in server and/or cloud engineering roles
- Expert-level administration of Windows Server and Linux operating systems in an enterprise environment
- Hands-on experience migrating workloads to AWS, with GovCloud experience strongly preferred
- Experience with VMware virtualization (vSphere/vCenter) at enterprise scale
