Senior Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs initiatives, the full-time Senior Cloud Engineer will design, develop, and manage cloud infrastructure and automation technologies while ensuring compliance and optimal performance in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Create and manage cloud architecture diagrams and automation technologies for CI/CD
- Implement monitoring capabilities for cloud-hosted systems and ensure compliance with VA policies
- Provide customer-focused support for VA Enterprise Cloud environments, including setup and configuration
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 20+ years of professional experience with a proven track record in designing and managing Azure infrastructure
- Expertise in core Azure services and security practices, including Microsoft Entra ID and Azure RBAC
- Proficiency in scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for automation
- Experience with CI/CD practices and containerization technologies such as Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
