Senior Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Cloud Engineer, this remote position will manage the design, deployment, and operation of Azure cloud infrastructure while ensuring compliance with Veterans Affairs policies and providing customer-focused support for cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage cloud architecture diagrams and automation technologies for CI/CD
- Implement monitoring capabilities for cloud-hosted systems to ensure optimal performance
- Provide cloud support services for VA Enterprise Cloud environments, ensuring compliance with development and documentation requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 20+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, specifically with Azure infrastructure and services
- Proven expertise in Azure services including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, and Azure networking components
- Experience with cloud security practices and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA and FedRAMP
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
