Senior Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Senior Cloud Engineer will design, develop, and manage cloud infrastructure and automation technologies while ensuring compliance and optimal performance in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Create and manage cloud architecture diagrams and data flow diagrams
- Implement and oversee CI/CD automation technologies and monitoring capabilities for cloud-hosted systems
- Provide customer-focused support for VA Enterprise Cloud environments, ensuring compliance with relevant policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 20+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, particularly with Azure infrastructure and services
- Proven expertise in Azure security practices and core services, including Azure Virtual Machines and Azure SQL Database
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and CI/CD practices
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
