Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

To support business objectives, the remote contract Senior Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud-based solutions while optimizing cloud infrastructure and automating deployments over a duration of 6+ months.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy cloud architectures across AWS and/or Azure, ensuring performance, security, availability, and cost-efficiency
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code frameworks and build CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure and application deployments
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements while continuously monitoring the cloud security posture

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience in a production enterprise environment (AWS and/or Azure required)
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and version control (Git)
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, virtualization, containerization, and cloud security principles
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a cloud-native context
