Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare technology company, the remote Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will build, enhance, and support a modern AWS environment, focusing on infrastructure reliability, security, scalability, and performance while collaborating with software engineering teams on deployment processes.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement production cloud environments on AWS, ensuring adherence to architecture best practices
- Diagnose complex cloud and networking issues, improving existing environments and supporting multiple technical initiatives
- Implement cloud security controls and infrastructure security tooling while enhancing CI/CD processes in partnership with engineering teams
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or cloud environments
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, including designing and implementing production cloud environments
- Strong understanding of AWS architecture best practices and Well-Architected principles
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Proficient in AWS networking technologies, including VPC, Route 53, and ELB
