Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on maintaining production uptime and operational reliability, the full-time Senior Cloud Operations Engineer will manage infrastructure operations, backups, and recovery for a remote platform while diagnosing failures across various systems and contributing to infrastructure architecture improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee production availability, incident triage, and troubleshooting across Windows, SQL Server, and Java web applications
• Manage SQL Server operations, including backups, recovery, and performance checks, while ensuring disaster recovery integrity
• Evaluate and enhance infrastructure architecture for both private and public cloud environments, focusing on capacity planning and cost optimization

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience administering Windows Server in a production SaaS or enterprise environment
• Hands-on expertise with SQL Server operations, including point-in-time recovery and clustering
• Strong background in production operations, including monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis
• Experience with Apache HTTP Server and Tomcat configuration for Java applications
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including security and networking concepts
