Senior CMC Project Manager

Job Summary

Owning portfolio-level planning and execution, the full-time Senior CMC Project Manager will manage CMC development for small-molecule assets, collaborating with internal teams and external CDMOs across multiple regions to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead program-level planning and execution of CMC development for multiple small-molecule assets, from initial tox supplies through scale-up
• Develop and maintain detailed CMC project plans and risk registers, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external CDMOs, overseeing planning, manufacturing timelines, and documentation deliverables

Required qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a similar field; PMP certification is a plus
• 5+ years of CMC project management experience in biotech or pharma, with exposure to small-molecule drug development
• Familiarity with analytical method development, process chemistry, formulation, and regulatory documentation
• Experience managing external CROs and CDMOs across multiple geographies
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage timelines and budgets in a fast-paced environment
