Senior COBOL Developer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior COBOL Developer to work remotely, who will be responsible for the development, maintenance, testing, and modernization of enterprise applications within a federal environment, utilizing strong IBM COBOL, DB2, and CICS expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze application planning, design, testing, and technical documentation
- Create, update, unit test, and maintain IBM COBOL programs while troubleshooting production issues
- Support modernization efforts by transitioning legacy applications toward DevOps and Agile methodologies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, including 4 years of IBM COBOL programming
- Experience with DB2 and CICS
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Minimum Background Investigation (MBI)
- U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card holder for at least 3 years)
