Senior Communications Specialist
Job Summary
Supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time Senior Communications Specialist will plan, write, and produce communications materials to enhance understanding and adoption of informatics initiatives, including newsletters, web content, and outreach materials, while collaborating with clinical informaticists and change management specialists.
Key responsibilities
- Develop communication plans and calendars tailored to various audiences for informatics initiatives
- Write, edit, and produce a range of information products, including newsletters and infographics
- Manage content for the Health Informatics Community of Practice and develop outreach materials for health information exchange
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in communications or public relations
- Experience writing, editing, and producing information products for varied audiences
- Experience managing communication channels, including social media
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA background investigation; must reside and work in the U.S
