Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications and lead cloud migration efforts, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will develop and maintain software configuration management tools, perform release engineering tasks, and provide technical guidance in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support VA applications and spearhead the migration to the cloud
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools and ensure compliant build and deployment processes
- Train software developers in configuration management tools and best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience, with 8+ years of experience potentially substituting for education
- Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering
- Experience with CI/CD tools and source control systems
- U.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunity
