Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting VA applications and spearheading cloud migration, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will develop and maintain software configuration management tools, perform release engineering tasks, and provide technical guidance in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools and standards for internal and external software products
- Design, automate, and maintain productivity tools to enhance software modeling and development processes
- Lead and train junior analysts/engineers in configuration management best practices while ensuring compliant build and deployment processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within large, regulated enterprises or federal environments
- Deep expertise with source control systems and CI/CD tools, including Git, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps
- Experience with scripting for automation using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
