Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage software configuration management tools, oversee cloud migration efforts, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools for both internally developed and COTS software products
- Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to document and ensure compliance with software product parameters
- Train software developers on configuration management tools and software quality standards while providing technical guidance on complex issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience, or 8+ years with equivalent education substitution
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within large, regulated environments
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools, source control systems, and scripting for automation
- Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance
