Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications and lead cloud migration efforts, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will develop and maintain software configuration management tools, perform release engineering tasks, and provide technical guidance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support the migration of VA applications to the cloud and ensure compliance with software configuration standards
- Design and implement build procedures for software product development and maintain productivity tools through programming and automation
- Train software developers on configuration management tools and best practices while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within regulated environments
- Deep expertise in CI/CD tools and source control systems, including Git and Azure DevOps
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python for automation tasks
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to qualify for a Public Trust security clearance
