Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage cloud migration efforts, develop and maintain software configuration management tools, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support VA applications and lead the migration to cloud environments
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools for both internal and COTS software products
- Train software developers in CM tools and implement software quality standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering
- Deep expertise with CI/CD tools and source control systems
- Experience with scripting for automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
