Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage software configuration management tools, oversee cloud migration efforts, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools for internal and commercial software products
- Design and implement build procedures to support software product development
- Provide technical guidance and training to software developers on configuration management best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience, or 8+ years of relevant experience may substitute for education
- Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering
- Experience with CI/CD tools and source control systems
- Proficiency in scripting for automation using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python
