Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage cloud migration, develop software configuration management tools, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support VA applications and spearhead the migration to the cloud
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools and standards
- Provide technical guidance and train software developers in configuration management best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience or 8+ years with equivalent education
- Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering
- Experience with CI/CD tools and scripting for automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Proficiency with source control systems and work management tools
