Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage software configuration and release engineering tasks, develop automation tools, and ensure compliant build processes, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support the migration of VA applications to the cloud and develop software configuration management tools
- Design and implement build procedures for software product development and maintain productivity tools
- Train software developers on configuration management tools and provide technical guidance on complex issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within regulated environments
- Deep expertise in CI/CD tools and source control systems
- Experience with scripting for automation using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
