Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage software configuration management tools, oversee cloud migration, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support the migration of VA applications to the cloud and manage software configuration management tools
- Design and implement build procedures and develop software configuration standards for company-wide use
- Train developers on CM tools and provide technical guidance to solve complex problems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within regulated environments
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools and scripting for automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Experience with source control systems and branching/merging strategies
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance are required
