Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage software configuration management tools, oversee cloud migration, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support both internally developed and COTS software products
- Design, implement, and automate build procedures to enhance software product development
- Provide technical guidance and train software developers on CM tools and quality standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within regulated environments
- Deep expertise with source control systems and CI/CD tools
- Experience in scripting for automation using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- U.S. Citizenship required, with eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
