Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage cloud migration, develop software configuration management tools, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support the migration of VA applications to the cloud and maintain software configuration management tools
- Design and implement build procedures to support software product development and ensure compliance with standards
- Provide technical guidance, train developers on configuration management tools, and lead junior analysts in best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within regulated environments
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools, source control systems, and scripting for automation
- Experience managing commercial-off-the-shelf software and vendor patches
- U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
