Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Configuration Engineer will support VA applications, lead cloud migration efforts, and develop software configuration management tools while ensuring compliant build and deployment processes.
Key responsibilities
- Support the migration of VA applications to the cloud and maintain software configuration management tools
- Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to document and ensure compliance of software products
- Design and implement build procedures and train software developers on configuration management tools and quality standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within large, regulated environments
- Deep expertise in CI/CD tools, source control systems, and scripting for automation
- Knowledge of software quality standards and governance frameworks
- U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
