Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage the migration to the cloud, develop software configuration management tools, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support VA applications and lead cloud migration efforts
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools for internal and COTS software products
- Train software developers on configuration management tools and software quality standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, plus 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within regulated environments
- Deep expertise with source control systems and CI/CD tools
- Experience with scripting for automation using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- U.S. Citizenship required for this opportunity
