Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage cloud migration efforts, develop software configuration management tools, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support VA applications and lead the migration to the cloud
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools for both internal and commercial software products
- Design and implement build procedures and train software developers in configuration management best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven track record in leading complex software builds and releases in regulated environments
- Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering
- Experience with CI/CD tools and scripting for automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance
