Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
Experienced in software configuration management, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will support VA applications, lead cloud migration efforts, and develop configuration management tools while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Support VA applications and spearhead the migration to the cloud
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools for both internal and external software products
- Design and implement build procedures to support software product development and ensure compliance with standards
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, along with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in leading complex software builds and releases in regulated environments
- Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps Pipelines) and source control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub)
- Familiarity with scripting for automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
