Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications and spearhead cloud migration, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will develop and maintain software configuration management tools, perform release engineering tasks, and provide technical guidance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support the migration of VA applications to the cloud and ensure compliant build and deployment processes
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools and standards for internal and external software products
- Train software developers on configuration management tools and best practices while collaborating with stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within regulated environments
- Deep expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps, along with source control systems like Git
- Experience with scripting languages for automation, including Bash, PowerShell, and Python
- U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
