Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage software configuration management tools, lead cloud migration efforts, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to support configuration identification and control
- Design and implement build procedures for software product development and ensure compliance with standards
- Train software developers in configuration management tools and best practices while providing technical guidance on complex problems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in software configuration management and release engineering within large, regulated environments
- Deep expertise with CI/CD tools and source control systems such as Git and Azure DevOps
- Experience with scripting for automation using languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance are required
