Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will manage software configuration management tools, oversee cloud migration, and ensure compliant build and deployment processes while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support VA applications and lead the migration to cloud environments
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools to ensure effective configuration control and reporting
- Train software developers on CM tools and best practices while providing technical guidance on complex issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience in software configuration management and release engineering
- Deep expertise in CI/CD tools and source control systems
- Experience with scripting for automation using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance
