Senior Configuration Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs applications and lead cloud migration efforts, the full-time Senior Configuration Engineer will develop and maintain software configuration management tools, perform release engineering tasks, and automate productivity tools in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software configuration management tools for both internally developed and COTS software products
- Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure compliance with standard hardware configurations
- Design and implement build procedures to support software product development and provide training on CM tools
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in leading complex software builds and releases in regulated environments
- Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering practices
- Experience with CI/CD tools and scripting for automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to qualify for a Public Trust security clearance
