Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the Ryder Continuous Improvement culture remotely, the full-time Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer will apply continuous improvement methods to enhance operations, driving performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through data analytics and engineering methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data to identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement plans
• Manage CI and engineering projects, providing recommendations for future initiatives and supporting automation efforts
• Coach employees on lean principles and facilitate value stream mapping and Kaizen events to achieve operational excellence

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• 5 years of experience in the Transportation or Supply Chain Industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Understanding of core engineering and data analysis functions, including slotting and labor planning
• Experience with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement tools such as Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping
