Senior Contracts Manager

Job Summary

Managing inbound brand and content licensing agreements, the Senior Contracts Manager will work on a hybrid or remote basis, focusing on drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contracts for the Children's and Trade publishing groups while collaborating with various internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manages inbound brand and content licensing agreements from request through execution
• Prepares, drafts, negotiates, and finalizes publishing agreements, including author and contributor contracts
• Tracks contract status, approvals, obligations, and key deadlines while maintaining accurate records in contract-management systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Four or more years of experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, particularly with brand licensing agreements
• Working knowledge of intellectual property concepts and licensing practices
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively
