Senior Control and Protection Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and implementation of HVDC Control and Protection systems, the full-time Senior Control and Protection Engineer will oversee technical solutions, manage customer interactions, and conduct complex system studies while working in a hybrid arrangement with two remote days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee requirements gathering, system design, and implementation of HVDC Control and Protection systems
• Conduct Electromagnetic Transient studies and lead end-to-end validation across multiple simulation platforms
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while promoting improvements in engineering processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Ten years of experience in HVDC control and protection system design
• Proficiency in PSCAD, RSCAD, MATLAB, and Simulink
• Experience with real-time simulation environments for Hardware-in-the-Loop testing
• Knowledge of system testing methodologies, including Integration System Test and Factory Acceptance Tests
