Senior Controls Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design and operation of Building Management Systems (BMS) for high-density data centers, the remote Senior Controls Engineer will manage control system design, standards governance, and vendor contract management while ensuring reliable and cost-effective solutions in a full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and technical review of data center BMS, including chilled water plant and HVAC control using PLCs and SCADA systems
- Develop and maintain company-wide BMS design standards and specifications, ensuring compliance with operational needs
- Review vendor proposals and provide technical direction to ensure quality and adherence to Colovore BMS standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in designing and implementing chiller plant and HVAC controls in data center environments
- Hands-on experience with BMS design, construction, commissioning, and operations support
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; EIT or PE license preferred
- Experience with Ignition SCADA software and PLC programming, particularly Allen-Bradley
- Ability to lead a BMS/controls engineering team and collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines
