Senior Corporate Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time remote Senior Corporate Counsel will manage complex commercial deals, negotiate various agreements, and advise on privacy and employment law matters while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate SaaS, software licensing, and services agreements from first draft through signature
• Counsel teams on federal, state, and international privacy requirements, particularly regarding student data protections
• Serve as the day-to-day employment law advisor to People and Culture and business leaders across a multistate remote workforce

Required qualifications

• 10 or more years of post-admission experience in commercial and technology transactions
• First-chair experience negotiating sophisticated SaaS, licensing, services, and data protection agreements
• Strong knowledge of U.S. data privacy and security law applicable to educational technology
• Experience advising on employment matters and familiarity with the education sector's privacy landscape
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar
