Job Summary
Leading all aspects of cost accounting and financial analysis, the full-time Senior Cost Accountant will manage inventory accounting, drive process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance costing methodologies, analyze COGS variances, and prepare monthly cost accounting journal entries
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while preparing management reports on cost trends and manufacturing performance
- Serve as Finance lead during ERP implementations, optimizing cost accounting processes and developing internal controls
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
- Experience participating in at least one full ERP implementation or major upgrade
- Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and GAAP
