Senior Cost Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Leading a remote team, the full-time Senior Cost Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and develop strategic relationships with finance and operational teams to enhance the accounting close process.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team in accounting operations related to inventory, cost of sales, and financial reporting
• Implement effective processes for variance analysis and external reporting deliverables
• Collaborate with internal controls and compliance teams to ensure adherence to SOX certification and financial regulations

Required qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of accounting experience, or Master's degree and 6 years, or Bachelor's degree and 8 years, or Associate's degree and 10 years, or High school diploma/GED and 12 years of accounting experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams or leading projects
• Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
• Experience with SAP and financial system implementations
• Proven ability to implement automation initiatives in accounting processes
