Job Summary
To support a growing legal practice, the full-time Senior Counsel, AI & Product will manage legal counseling for product development and AI initiatives, oversee the AI governance program, and conduct legal risk assessments, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide full product life-cycle legal counseling, partnering with cross-functional teams on AI-enabled features
- Administer the AI governance program, ensuring compliance and evolving processes as regulations change
- Conduct legal risk assessments and evaluate AI products for internal procurement and customer distribution
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- 8-10 years of combined law firm and in-house experience counseling technology companies on product development and emerging-technology legal issues
- Hands-on experience with generative AI governance and compliance
- Working knowledge of U.S. consumer protection and communications laws, as well as state AI regulations
- Experience building or operating an AI governance program preferred
