Senior Counsel, Commercial

Job Summary

To support a collaborative legal team, the remote Senior Counsel, Commercial will independently manage significant commercial matters, provide business-focused legal advice, and oversee the drafting and negotiation of various commercial agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including advertising sales and technology contracts
• Provide practical legal counsel on product, sales, and marketing initiatives, while identifying legal implications across various issues
• Manage outside counsel and contribute to cross-functional initiatives, ensuring legal advice is actionable for business leaders

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant legal experience, including significant in-house commercial experience
• Experience advising on digital media matters, including product, sales, and marketing
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills with a proven track record in leading commercial transactions
• Ability to independently manage matters and provide sound legal judgment to senior business leaders
• Comfort with AI tools and workflows to enhance productivity
