Job Summary
To support a growing government contracting practice, the full-time Senior Counsel - Government Contracting will manage the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of complex government contracts while ensuring compliance with federal regulations, all in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate government contracts, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific requirements
- Guide the entire lifecycle of product build and government contracting, from sales strategy to implementation and ongoing compliance
- Collaborate with the commercial legal team to improve templates, develop playbooks, and facilitate automation for efficiency
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a legal function, with at least 3 years focused on government contracting and compliance
- Established ability to advise on government contract implementation and compliance, translating obligations into internal processes
- Proven ability to manage tight timelines and high volumes of contracts
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams, security, and sales teams
- Creativity in solving novel contractual matters and crafting new approaches in a fast-moving environment
