Senior Counsel with Bar Membership

Job Summary

To support a growing legal team, the full-time Senior Counsel with Bar Membership will manage commercial contracts and data privacy matters, drafting and negotiating agreements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and close various commercial agreements, including data licenses, NDAs, and BAAs
• Counsel teams on data privacy regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment
• Triage and manage a high-volume legal queue, prioritizing tasks and coordinating with outside counsel as needed

Required qualifications

• JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 6+ years of relevant legal experience, particularly in technology transactions and privacy law
• Proven ability to negotiate and close complex technology or data transactions end-to-end
• Experience managing a high-volume legal queue with a focus on speed and efficiency
• Familiarity with modern collaboration tools such as Slack, Notion, and Google Drive
